Books for 2017

So one goal (more on other goals next week) for 2017 is to read more. Or I should just say read. I could probably count on one hand how many books I read in 2016….and probably have some fingers left over. I set up a GoodReads account so I can keep track of what I do read and also books I want to read. I would love to be friends on there if you have an account. You can click HERE to find my profile. Here are a few books I have on my list so far….well a couple aren’t in GoodReads yet but I imported so hopefully they will be in soon. You can click on the pictures of the books to get them for yourselves.

Thinking Good was written by a high school friend of mine. Lots of good reviews, as you’ll see on the listing, and from our friends. She also has a prayer workbook and a prayer journal for kids. I have the prayer workbook too and look forward to going through that in 2017 too.

They gave this book out at mass the other night. I read the first 2 paragraphs and I’m hooked. This will probably be the first book I read in 2017 (or maybe start a little sooner).

So I already read this book once but I want to read it again. I’m slightly obsessed (in a good way) with Kristin Cavallari. This book covers beauty, exercise, health, cooking, etc. And I cannot wait till her cookbook comes out in 2018!!!

I won this book from an instagram account giveaway. I have heard of it before (and it’s rave reviews) so I’m excited to read it.

I asked some friends for some recommendations and here’s what they said…

Kristy from Love and Messiness – Loving My Actual Life: An Experiment in Relishing What’s Right in Front of Me

Kelsey from The Painted Walnut – Water for Elephants A Novel by Gruen, Sara [Algonquin Books,2006] (Hardcover)

A House in the Sky: A Memoir

The Help

Andrea from Wife, Kids, Life – Oola Find Balance in an Unbalanced World

So, what I need from you is recommendations. I’m keeping my mind open to all book types.
