I wanted to share with you some of the cookbooks I have that have some of my favorite recipes in them. I am posting my weekly menu plan on Monday and I used a few of these books for the whole menu.

Do you have any of these? What one(s) do you have that I’m missing and need?
I’ve never have horrible skin. Of course, I had some issues back during those lovely preteen/teen years, but nothing I would consider horrible. In my adult years I would get one, maybe 2 along with my monthly friend but that’s about it. Then I turned 35 last year and my skin went downhill. I didn’t change anything as far as my beauty routine. I will admit I’m was bad about washing my face at night….but I never had issues so it wasn’t something I thought much about. I know, I know, it’s bad. But I’ve gotten better. Not perfect…but better. And so has my skin.
So what have I been using? It’s really nothing fancy or time consuming. I’ll go over what I use and why and then I will be posting separate posts on the 2 DIY products I use. Some of these are recommendations from my team, a couple I added in there. I have never been a part of a team that was so amazing. So much great advice and resources.
To remove my eye makeup I use coconut oil. I have a little container I got and just scoop in some coconut oil and keep it in my bathroom. Coconut oil gets off all my makeup including my waterproof mascara. If you haven’t tried it yet, try it tonight. I just take a little bit….a little goes a long way….and start by rubbing it on my eyes. And by rub, you don’t have to scrub…let the coconut oil do the job for you. Let it sit for a few seconds and then rub around and it will just fall off your lashes. I don’t usually ‘remove’ my face makeup…I just let my face scrub do that. I am thinking of trying to make some makeup remover wipes for my face.
Then I use the Satin Mint Face Scrub to clean my face. This smells amazing. It’s is an exfoliant, but it’s very gentle on your face.
Next I use a toner that I made. Just a few sprays all over my face and let it dry.
Then I use a “skin” serum that I made. It’s made up of essential oils, a carrier oil and witch hazel.
And last, but not least I use a little bit (another that a little goes a long way) of Genesis Hand and Body lotion. A tiny pea size covers my face, neck, and I rub the rest into my hands.
I have been on and off using this routine…and for the past month or so I’ve been pretty off….and boy can I tell. I need to get back on a good routine!
What do you use for your face routine? Are you using essential oils? Do you make any of your products yourself? Would love to hear!
